Tahiti v Nigeria preview and betting tips
Tahiti plays their football in the Oceania division of FIFA. Not many are too familiar with this side based on domestic league talent. Just to give you an idea of their strength level: They've lost 3-0 and 2-0 to New Zealand in their World Cup qualification group. They've had a couple of uplifting friendly results in June, but most believe they'll be slaughtered in this tournament.
Nigeria, for me seems weaker than we've seen them in a while! For the Confederations Cup coach Keshi has picked a relatively young squad. He's decided to do without quite a few good players of which Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike and Obafemi Martins are the biggest names.
Obviously Nigeria must be considered a massive favorite for this game. But backing them at 2/25 (1.08) doesn't strike me very interesting. Their squad looks way to experimental to make the risk match the reward. I much rather go for Tahiti +3 on the Asian Handicap line. BET365 offers 7/10 (1.70)! Nigeria hasn't been a real goalthreat in the African World Cup qualification, and this squad looks thin to be honest.
