Semi Final stage of Copa Libertadores and there are some smaller teams in the last four for a change. We have Nacional of Asuncion, Paraguay against Defensor Sporting of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Nacional have played 10 games in the competition so far, winning 4 drawing 4 and losing 2. They finished 2^nd in group stages behind Atletico Mineiro but since then beat Argentines Velez Sarsfield and Arsenal de Sarandi. A strange stastic for Nacional so far is they have yet to lose at home but have not won away in the tournament. At home they have won 4 games and drew 1 from 5.  Scoring 8 and conceding 4 with three clean sheets from the five games. 

Nacional finished 7^th of 12 in Paraguay Apertura but the league was sacrificed for Libertadores glory. They have had a four week lay off since the league finished.  Sporting reach their 1^st ever semi final of Libertadores. They have played 10 and won 6, drawing 2 and losing 2. Sporting beat Cruzeiro and Uni de Chile in a tough group. They then beat The Strongest of Bolivia and Atletico Nacional of Colombia home and away! Defensor finished 9^th of 16 in a league season again sacrificed for Libertadores victory. The Uruguayans have not played a competitive match since May so could be a little more rusty than Nacional.

Copa Libertadores games are usually won by the home sides as the teams tend to dominate in front of their home fans. Nacional have not lost in 5 matches and have kept clean sheets against Velez, Arsenal and Zamora. I think the mindset of the teams going into these ties is to keep the away leg tight and do it at home. I see a very low scoring game here and the odds on Nacional are good.
