England kick their challenge off in the Euro 2016 with a tough looking opener in Marseille against Russia.  England qualified from their group with 10 wins out of 10, although it has to be said they had one of the easiest draws of all teams. Only Switzerland were of note but they did beat them home and away. In recent friendlies they have beaten France, Gemany, Turkey, Portugal and Australia but lost to Netherlands and Spain. They need to find the right balance with their attack but Roy Hodgson seems to be muddling things up.  They have a more than capable 1^st team and some decent back up players. For me it’s just finding the right formation. Ryan Betrand and Chris Smalling are both carrying slight knocks but nothing that should stop them from playing. Russia finished 2^nd behind Austria with 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.  Recent friendlies show 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. They have beaten Portugal and Lithuania while losing to Croatia, France and Czech Republic. They have lost a few key players in the run up to the finals. With Zhirkov, Dzagoev and Denisov all injured.

Hard game to break down on the match betting for me. England have all the form and a lot of they players are in peak form. It looks like they will go with Kane but not Vardy which is a shame for me. Russia are pragmatic, organised and should be tough to break down. I am looking at the both teams score for this one. England have just 1 clean sheet in the last 5 games and that was to a Portugal side that played with 10 men for most of the game. Russia too seem to be struggling defensively with 1 clean sheet in 5 games. So that’s 8 of the last 10 games for both sides with Both Teams Score Yes so the 2.50 or 6-4 bet365.
