England are in a good position in Group B after a 1-1 draw with Russia and a 2-1 win over Wales. The draw over Russia was a classic game of 2 halves as they impressed in 1st half but looked lost in the 2nd half. In the win over Wales they chased, harried and run for 90 minutes but offered little coordination and only for an aimless Wales performance I thought they were lucky to grab the 3 points. They do look good at times but they can also look inept in the space of 10 minutes. No injury problems for England but it looks to me that Kane and Sterling were jaded and should be replaced by Vardy and Sturridge. Slovakia are in a good position going into this game. They lost to Wales 2-1 in a performance they would like to forget, 2nd best for long periods. They recovered though to beat Russia 2-1 in a game they dominated for long stretches. They will be looking for a draw at least here to take them through.
Both teams would almost certainly qualify with a draw in this convoluted competition that sees only 8 teams leave after the group stages. England have looked great in patches, with a similar story for Slovakia. Both teams will not want to overcommit I feel and the draw at 9-4 or 3.25 Ladbrokes looks the best option.
