Wales could be renamed Bales as they rely very heavily on the world’s most expensive player. With a light friendly schedule in which they only played Sweden in recent months (3-0 loss without Bale) if you go back over the months before the other friendlies were not much better with losses to Ukraine and Holland plus a draw with Northern Ireland.  They take on Slovakia in Bordeaux and will both sides will see this game as a win opportunity.  Wales don’t have a deep squad so they arrived with three injured players in Joe Allen, Joe Ledly and Hal Robson-Kanu. It looks like only Allen of the three will be considered.  Wales qualified well, beating Bosnia and Isreal to qualify. They only managed 11 goals in qualifying and Bale got 7 of those. Slovakia finished 2^nd behind Spain with 7 wins from 10 games. In recent matches they have not lost in 7 friendlies with wins over Germany, Georgia, Switzerland and Iceland.  Indeed only Belgium have a higher win percentage over the past three years than Slovakia!  They have doubts over Hubocan and Gymober but both should be fit.

I am actually surprised to see Slovakia outsiders here. The Bale factor is in full effect to be fair and you have to be on your game for 90 minutes with him he is that good. Whether it’s dead balls, corners or anywhere within 25m range he can score. However Slovakia have a multitude of attacking quality of their own. I prefer them over Wales and at a decent price too.
