BASEL V DNIPRO PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Basel are 2^nd in the Swiss Super League with 36 points from 19 matches, this leaves them 4 points behind leaders Grasshopper but in a position for the Champions League next season.  They returned to Super League action last weekend after 2 months break and got right back to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Sion.  They got to this stage by finishing 2^nd in their group with 9 points from 6 matches, finishing behind Genk.

Dnipro are 2^nd in the Ukrainian League with 38 points from 18 matches, which still leaves them 13 points behind runaway leaders Shakhtar.  They will be happy with a second place finish and chance at qualifying for the Champions League next season.  To get to this stage Dnipro topped their group with an excellent 15 points from 6 games, comfortably beating Napoli and PSV.

BASEL V DNIPRO PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

Both teams have had long breaks off for winter with Basel already returned to domestic action, so I don’t expect that to be a major factor in this game.  Both teams are in strong form domestically but it is difficult to judge the relative strengths of two fairly small leagues.

The only thing we have to differentiate the teams is their performance in the group stags where Dnipro were excellent, dominating sides from larger nations.

I’ll be sticking with them to extend their run and backing a Dnipro win at 3.00 with Paddy Power.
