CFR CLUJ V INTER MILAN PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

The first leg saw Inter run out to a comfortable 2-0 victory which sets them up well for the second leg.  They were unlucky to lose Diego Milito to injury just 10 minutes in to the match and he will be out for some time.  His replacement, fellow Argentinian Rodrigo Palacio didn’t take long to make an impact and gave Inter the lead after 20 minutes.  From there the match didn’t have much action but with just minutes remaining Inter doubled their lead with another goal from Palacio, a goal which may settle the tie.

Cluj are still on their winter break which has meant a full week of rest since the first leg, this could be an advantage for them as their players will be fresher and better prepared than their opponents.

Inter were thoroughly beaten by an excellent Fiorentina side on Sunday night 4-1.  The score-line if anything flatters Inter who were never in the game and were dominated from start to finish.

I think the defeat at the weekend may have taken a lot of confidence out of Inter, they were totally outclassed and outworked.  Cluj meanwhile have had a full week of preparation and rest and will come into this match knowing only a win will do.
