CHELSEA V BASEL BETTING TIPS

Chelsea are coming to the end of one of the busiest seasons for a club I can remember.  They have played in the Premier League, League Cup, Fa Cup, Community Shield, Champions League, Uefa Super Cup and Fifa Club World Cup all without winning a trophy and they have their final chance here in the Europa League.

Chelsea can afford to relax slightly after a 2-1 away win in the first leg thanks to an early goal through Viktor Moses and a late freekick from David Luiz, but they’ll be wary that Basel can still threaten and get the first goal to make the tie interesting.

Basel themselves seem to have lost some form around this game with a draw and defeat in their last two Super League matches but they still hold a 3 point lead at the top of the table.  They’ll be going all-out here to try and make the final and I expect an open attacking match from them.

Chelsea may make some changes again from the weekend as they look to keep their squad fresh for the final few games of the EPL season.  They are still in a tough fight for 4^th place so can’t afford their players running out of steam at the end.  I’d expect Torres and Moses to come back into the side along with Ivanovic and Mikel.

Chelsea are the strongest team here and with Basel having to push forward they will leave gaps at the back which can be exploited.
