Differdange 03 plays in the National Division of Luxembourg. Their season starts on the 4th of August. Last year Differdange managed 4th, and got to the Cup Final. In the first round of Europa League qualification they won by one home and away against Albanian Laci. In 2011 Differdange faced Dutch opposition in PSV trying to qualify for the Europa League. They lost 4-0 at home, then 2-0 away.

Utrecht also starts their domestic campaign on the 4th of August. Last season they ended fifth, but were only six points behind 2nd place finishers PSV. This dutch side played some good football back in 2010 when they were in the same group as Liverpool, Napoli and Steaua Bucuresti. However, since then they haven't been good enough for European football.

Here it must be said that Utrecht has lost a very good defender in Mike van der Hoorn. The 20 year old has gone to greener grass with Ajax. Regulars Asare (Midfield), Kali (Midfield) and Wuytens (Defender) has also left. The replacements brought in are very young and quite unexperienced.

Betting Tips

Even if Utrecht has lost some regulars they should be miles ahead of Differdange when it comes to footballing class. When PSV visited back in 2011 it was a one way street game. I doubt the difference between the National Division and the Eresdivisie has changed that much.

Differdange will have to try to stay compact and not go overboard, but here they're up against a good striker in Mulenga (14 goals in 31 games last season) as well as a goal hungry midfielder in Jens Toornstra who has been tested in the National Team squad as of late.
