Dynamo Kiev are struggling again,  the power shift in Ukraine is complete and its no longer Dynamo and the rest. Kiev are the most successful side in Ukraine and the old Soviet Union but in recent years they have declined a lot. Shaktar Donetsk have pulled away from them and even Metalist Kharkiv and even Dnipro  have moved above the Kiev giants. In the league this year they have 4 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats and sit in 6^th position. In Europe so far they have only played 2 games, defeating Aktobe of Kazahkstan  8-3 on aggregate.

Genk of Belgium have had a decent start to the season that culminated in last weekends 5-2 demolition of last years runners up Zulte Waregem. Genk sit 6^th with 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Genk are on a run of 5 games unbeaten that has seen them score 15 with just 5 in reply. In Europe so far they have 2 wins so far in the 7-2 demolition of Hafnarfjodur of Iceland.
