INTER MILAN v RUBIN KAZAN - STATS

Inter Milan has 2-0-1 on their first 3 games of the current Serie A season. In those 3 games a total of 9 goals has been scored. Inter obviously has a proud history both domestically and internationally. Rubin Kazan has 4-0-4 on their firs 8 games of the Russian Premier League. Rubin has been a newcommer to the European level the last couple of years, with mixed results. 6 out of 8 games in the Russian Premier League has ended over 2.5 goals when Rubin has been involved. The teams met last in the Champions League in 2009. In this fixture Inter Milan won 2-0 at home and in Russia it ended 1-1.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Inter has a team with a great mix of really experienced players and late teen/early twenties player types. They had a good transfer window in their own opinion, and should be one of two-three teams who could push Juventus in the Serie A this season. The team needs Wesley Sneijder to perform at a top level. Old dog Zanetti (now 39) is still important, and up front they still rely on almost as old dogs Cassano (new this season) and Milito to do the business. Rubin Kazan has a good mix of home grown talent and foreign good players. Rondón was a surprise addition from Malaga this window. He is a very good striker. Bibras Natcho, the israeli midfielder is on fire, and has notched 6 goals so far this season (8 games). Last season he got 9, so he definitely is a goal hungry player. One to watch for sure! Rubin has also brought in Töre from HSV and defender Marcano from Villarreal.

Inter Milan are expected to run this show. I am fairly sure they will as well. Rubin has much more quality than many probably are aware of, but looking at the probable first eleven one can't say they can go to the San Siro and expect much more than a loss. It doesn't matter they have CHL experience and has massive investment. I do not believe Inter Milan will treat the UEFA Europa League as a training ground for the fringe players and youngsters. Especially with a Youth Cup game with Liverpool coming right up.

The quality and experience of the Inter core, combined with hungry youth should see of a game like this. Pinnacle offers 1.917: I take this bet! I am actually quite surprised to see so good odds on a game like this, and I do not think it will stand come kick off.

ASIAN HANDICAP PREDICTIONS

If you prefer you can take 1.917 as +0.5, also with Pinnacle. I do think that it is less chance of a game like this ending a draw so the Draw no bet Asian Handicap does not tempt me at around 1.36. The +1 handicap is 2.78 at Pinnacle, and could be worth a shot as Rubin Kazan tend to let in goals a little bit easy at times. If Inter get going they can easily bang in 2-3. Against this one can say that Rubin has so much offensive firepower in their ranks that they will get at least one themselves.
