Feyenoord have had a desperate start the the Eredivisie season with 1 win and 3 defeats in their opening 4 matches. Opening up with a loss to Zwolle was bad enough but Ronald Koemans man then were smashed 4-1 at home to Twente. The team performances were dismal and only for a last round 3-1 win over Breda Koeman could have been on the job market. The away leg in Russia was another terrible performance and Feyenoord were really lucky to just lose 1-0.

Kuban Krasnodar are showing just how strong and deep the quality runs in Russian football. Its one of the most underrated leagues in European football at the moment and I think we will see how good they are here. In the league they have started well with 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat. In Europe Kuban have three wins from three with Motherwell defeated twice and Feyenoord. Yet to conceded a goal either its looking good for them. In the home leg they laid siege to the Feyenoord goal and only for some poor finishing they would have destroyed the Dutchmen.
