KUBAN KRASNODAR – MOTHERWELL: PREDICTIONS

The tie looks over after the Russians played a solid game in Scotland, taking back a 2-0 to Krasnodar that looks a very tall order for Motherwell to overcome.

Kuban Krasnodar is one of the oldest clubs in Russia and does have 4 Russian 2^nd league  titles to its name. These were many years ago however, the best finish for Kuban was a runners up spot in 1979. The side performed wonders last year and finished 5^th ahead of sides with better tradition, budgets and squads. Kuban have started the season well, an away win at Tom Tomsk plus decent draws against Zenit, Spartak Moscow and Rubin Kaza show their strength.

Motherwell lose their star man too, last years Player of the Year Micheal Higdon leaves for NEC of Holland. The Scouser managed 40 in 72 for Motherwell which is a superb strike rate and almost impossible for Motherwell to replace. Out also are Darren Randolph, Nicky Law and Chris Humphrey.Motherwell made a losing start to their Europa League venture too, a 2-0 home loss to Krasnodar. Well were outclassed against the Russians and will go out at their 1^st hurdle like Hibs did.
