MACCABI HAIFA V AZ ALKMAAR : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Haifa where in trouble when Arik Benado took over as coach, languishing at the bottom of their league.  He did a fine job and the team ended up finishing second. They have also impressed in the qualifying rounds in beating  Lankaran, Ventspils and Astra, winning all home games without conceding . Spanish midfielder Rayo has bagged six goals in the qualifiers and will look to carry his goalscoring form into the qualifiers. Two games into their league season they have a win and a loss.

AZ finished a poor tenth in the Dutch league, but won the cup where they beat PSV in the final. They overcame Atromitos in the qualifiers winning 3-1 away, but losing 2-0 at home, only scraping through on the away goals rule. Six games into the league season they have ten points, the highlight being a 3-2 win over Ajax. American striker Johannson has four goals so far and looks to fill the void left by the departure of Jozy Altidore. AZ are regulars in the competition and this will be their seventh time in the group stages but they do not appear as strong as in previous seasons.
