NEWCASTLE UNITED V METALIST PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Newcastle are 16^th in the EPL with 27 points from 26 matches.  They have had a very disappointing year after finishing an excellent 5^th last season but their form has improved lately.  Win’s against Aston Villa and Chelsea gave them some breathing space on the relegation zone and showed their new signings had added quality to the squad.  To get to this point Newcastle finished 2^nd in their group with 9 points from 6 matches, 4 points behind group winners Bordeaux.

Metalist are 4^th in the Ukrainian Premier League with 36 points from 18 matches which leaves them 15 points off leaders Shakhtar but a more reasonable target is 2^nd place Dnipro who are just 2 points ahead in the final Champions League spot.  To get to this point Metalist topped their group with 13 points from 6  matches, finishing ahead of Bayern Leverkusen on head to head.
