Seville host Zenit St Petersburg in a last 8 tie that could go either way. However Zenit have been shot in the foot by suspension and injury. Out for them are a host of 1st choice players and key men. Missing are Hulk, Danny, Igor Smolnikov and Domenico Criscito all suspended and Fayzulin is injured. Seville come into this one in excellent form too. With a run of 10 games unbeaten. The most remarkable stat from Sevilla’s season is they are yet to lose a home game! In 20 games they have won 14 and drew 6 – indeed you have to go back to March 2013 to see a loss at Sanchez Pijuan for them. They must do without Beto for this game. Zenit will have to shuffle their pack and for me they will be out to limit damage. If they can get back to Russia without a sizeable loss that for them will be good enough. I see them trying to kill space and possibly players with some no nonsense football.
