All to play for in Moscow in this intriguing Europa League playoff 2^nd leg.

Spartak Moscow sit 4th in the Russian Premier league after a decent start to the season. Indeed they only lost their 1^st game of the season on Monday in their only poor performance. They were lacking severely in motivation and Amkar Perm were on top and won 2-1. Six games have yielded 3 wins and 2 draws with the 1 defeat.  Huge loss for Spartak will be forward Emmanuel Eminike who was sold to Fenerbahce, the striker had already scored 3 in his 4 games and will be missed. Spartak moved quickly for a replacement and have brought Lucas Barrios in from China. A key factor for Spartak is that they have yet to play at home. Only the 0-0 draw with Rubin was played at a “home” ground (The game was at Lokomotiv Stadium )In the 1^st leg in Switzerland it was roughly 50/50 and ended 1-1.

St Gallen although the oldest club in Switzerland have had very little success. Title wins separated by an amazing 96 years as they followed up their 1^st win in 1904 with the 2000 title! Usually found in the midtable of Swiss Super League the side have managed to drop to the 2^nd tier, as recently as 2008 and 2011. The side has few household names and they went into the season expected to finish in 4 or 5^th. They have started off with 2 wins, 2 draw and 2 defeats and currently occupy 5^th of 10 teams.
