STUTTGART V LAZIO PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

One of the ties of the round sees two high profile teams from Germany and Italy take the field as Stuttgart take on Lazio in this last 16 clash.

Stuttgart have had a disappointing season in the Bundesliga so far and sit a lowly 11^th in the table, well away from the push for European places they expected.  They have been on good form lately though with a 5 match unbeaten streak ended at the weekend with a loss at Bayer Leverkusen.  They got through to this stage thanks to an impressive 2-0 away win at Genk after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Lazio are having a much better season and are in the fight for a Champions League spot in Italy, currently in 4^th place just 1 point behind 3^rd place Milan.  They just lost 3^rd spot thanks to a resounding 3-0 defeat at Milan this past weekend which certainly isn’t ideal preparation for this match but they’ll feel they can put it behind them and get back on a winning run.  A 2-0 home win against another German side Gladbach in the last round was enough to see Lazio through.

This is a tough match to handicap with both teams coming off disappointing losses at the weekend.  They had both been in strong recent form before that so it’ll be about who can bounce back quickest and get back to winning ways.

I think the best bet here is on the Draw, both sides seem evenly matched and the 3.50 on offer from bet365 is too tempting to pass up.
