Stuttgart lost 2-1 in the first leg of this Europa League Qualifer, and now stands with four competitive defeats in a row. All four defeats have been with one goal, and it must be said Stuttgart has been rather unlucky. This poor streak has seen Labaddia sacked, interim coach will be U17 coach Schneider. They’ll be looking to change that poor run of form against opposition I am sure they think they’re better than. They certainly will have to improve in the last third of the pitch though, or else this will be a very scrappy game to watch.

Rijeka is still doing fine domestically and won again in the weekend. They are probably kicking themselves for letting in the very late goal in the first leg of this Europa League qualifier as they always looked a likely two goal winner even if Stuttgart had more possession of the ball. I’m pretty sure however they feel they can contain this Stuttgart side, and going forward they will always be a threat on swift counter attacks.

Stuttgart is priced way too low here. The market is around 1.30 (3/10), and given their form and the strength of Rijeka I find that absurd. Rijkea +1.5 is actually priced at 1.98 (39/40) with Bet365. Stuttgart will take the game to Rijeka surely, but I do think it is quite possible the Croatians will score here at some point as Stuttgart has been troubling, and the Croats are in fine form.
