TOTTENHAM v BENFICA: WIN TO NIL BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

One of the ties of the round sees Spurs host Portuguese giants Benfica.  Tottenham had to come from 2 goals down deep into the 2^nd half to see of Ukranians Dnipro. Trailing 1-0 from the 1^st leg they conceded at home and looked dead and buried. However a fantastic last 30 minutes saw the required 3 goals scored and the North London men secured their place in last 16. They won all group games to qualify to knockouts with the best record. Spurs are in 5^th in Premier League and are current 2^nd favourites to win this tournament. Recent form sees 4 wins and 3 losses. Benfica are flying high in the Portuguese Primeira and 7 points above Sporting. They enter this competition after finishing a disappointing 3^rd behind Olympiakos and PSG in Champions League.  They beat PAOK to get to this round in both legs and indeed recent form is excellent with an unbelievable unbeaten record of 23 games that stretches all the way back to mid November! They have won 20 and drew 3 of those matches with clean sheets in 18 of the fixtures.

When a team does something a lot it usually pays to follow it. One thing Benfica do a lot is win to nil. The side from Portugal have won 20 matches in a recent unbeaten run of 23 games – in that run they have won an amazing 16 without conceding! With 8 of them being in the last 8 matches. They can defend that’s for sure! This is a big price as Spurs are still favourites but for me it’s a cracking bet. All the experience is with Benfica here as Spurs have not featured much in the latter stages of European competition lately either.
