Denmark opened the qualifying with two games unbeaten but the level of opposition was on the low side. A home win against Armenia (tight and only 2-1) plus an away draw in Albania at 1-1. Both games saw Denmark labour as they trailed in both matches.  Denmark seem to be in a downturn at the moment and the talent for the future seems far off.  2014 has seen a mixed bag with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. It’s the same squad for Denmark going into this one. Portugal had a disastrous start to qualifying with a home loss at 1-0 to Albania. A result few people saw coming. With no Ronaldo they seem to all shirk responsibility and the performance was poor. The results for the rest of the year see 4 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses. They lost to France in last match with Ronaldo going off after a slight knock. Portugal will have little imput from new manager Fernando Santos. He has an 8 game FIFA ban after action for speaking out against their regime.

I think the loss of Santos will be minimal as am sure he will have his gameplan set out. Portugal have stuttered its true but Denmark are no world beaters either. Ronaldo is the best player in the world and to see him lining up no doubts boosts the others. A win is a must for Portugal here and I take them. They are on the move so bet now.
