Group G is shaping up to have a cracking final 2 matches. Austria have ran away with the section so we have a three way fight for 2nd and the playoff spot. Moldova are bottom of the group after 2 wins and 6 losses from 8. They have only scored 3 but conceded 12 in a poor showing. They don’t have much in the way of quality. Very average all round really. Their best result so far was a draw in Russia which was a cause for national celebration. However with qualification resting on a win here for Russia I see nothing other than a win for them. Moldova will seek to defend for 90 minutes and will try and trip up their old bosses again. With little to offer in attack I can see nothing other than a low scoring win to nil for Russia.
