A rejuvenated Scotland host Georgia in a crucial match for both sides. Scotland opened with the most difficult game in World football. A trip to Germany to play the World Champions. That they only lost 2-1 and had several chances shows how far they have come. Manager Gordan Strachan is cracking coach and a great motivator.  Scotland are up to 29^th with 714 points. With draws over Nigeria and USA too.  The most important call up for Scotland is Steven Fletcher. The Sunderland striker has the knack of being in the right place at the right time and is a lethal finisher. Georgia  lost their opening game too, going down 2-1 at home to Republic of Ireland. A great game for us to compare here for me Scotland are ahead of Ireland at the moment.(FIFA ranking agrees as they have them 32 places below Scotland)  Georgia tried to counter attack at home which was a bit of a soft ploy given Irelands weaknesses at the moment. They gave all momentum away and lost in a poor performance.  In 2014 to go alongside that loss was a defeat at UAE, but wins over Saudi Arabia and Lichtenstein.

Scotland are very much on the up and have a shrewd coach in Strachan. The availability of Steven Fletcher was the final ingredient for this bet. A fine finisher and a great addition to the confident Scotland set up.
