Its 1st v 2nd in the group in Oviedo and you would be surprised to find its not Spain who are top. Spain sit in 2nd position with 5 wins and 1 loss with 15 scored and 3 conceded. They have beaten Macedonia, Ukraine, Belarus (Twice),Luxembourg but lost to Slovakia in a surprise. Miroslav Stoch’s 87th minute winner back then ended Spain’s staggering 36-match unbeaten run in qualification matches. Spain have not lost a game at home in 30 matches and I don’t think that will happen here. Slovakia top the group with 6 straight wins. Indeed their form of late is exceptional with 12 wins from their last 13 games. Here though they are without two key players with Martin Škrtel and Juraj Kucka absent through suspension.
Spain will want to beat Slovakia and avenge their only qualification loss for many games. I fear for Slovakia here and have no problem betting Spain -1.5.
