Colombia went to the final in the Toulon tournament recently. In that tournament the favorite; France was beaten 3-1. In the final they lost 1-0 to Brazil (who failed to qualify for this tournament). Colombia qualified for this World Championship by winning the South American qualification group.

Colombia comes with a squad filled with talent plying their trade domestically. However some players have found their way to Europe already: Vergara (defender) who scored two goals at the Toulon tournament is an AC Milan player, and Perea (Forward) is with Lazio.  Quintero (Midfielder) has been playing on loan for Pescara this season. The side looks very well organized. Scoring against this side is not going to be easy. Up front they also got a good player in Borja who grabbed two goals in the Toulon tournament.

Australia qualified through reaching the semis in the Asian group. They also bring domestic based squad! However, Good (Newcastle), Irvine (Celtic) and Williams (Fulham), Gameiro (Just released from Fulham) are players that has gone to Europe, and are names to look out for. Australia is trying to replicate the middle European model and are working hard at developing young talent. It will be really interesting to see how they fare over time.

Here I think Colombia priced at 1/2 (1.50) with BET365 is just going to be a tad too strong for the Young Socceroos. Australia's time might come, but just not yet. Not against such a high quality team. I shy away from handicap bets here as Colombias strength is the organization, and their ability to keep hold of the ball. I am not sure if they have what it takes to outclass this Aussie side. The Under 2.5 at 2.07 (27/25) can also be considered. I would rate this a 50-50 game, and therefore find value in the mentioned price.
