EGYPT U20 – ENGLAND U20: PREDICTIONS

The Fifa U20 World Cup continues with the 3^rd round of games in Group E . Egypt have been bright and have played some attractive attacking football but have lost both matches. England have showed some decent football of their own but seem to lack any real belief in themselves. They have drawn both matches and really need a win here.

Egypt u20 have played well in games with Chile and Iraq but find themselves pointless and bottom of the group. The only way they can get through is with a win by at least 4 goals and a series of games going against other 3^rd placed sides. Egypt have lost both games 2-1 and despite looking the better sides against Chile and Iraq they have been poor defensively and far to open.

England u20 opening game was a strong performance for an hour as they raced into a 2-0 lead over Iraq. England were cruising but all of a sudden they seemed jaded and lacked all composure. Iraq sensed the change and started attacking England. 2 goals in 15 minutes ended the game and both sides shared a point. Against Chile the game was more evenly balanced and 1-1 was a fair result.

Both sides really need the win here and only four of six 3^rd placed sides will go through and it will be very tight. Both sides have played good football in patches but Egypt seem to struggle defensively while England have very little craft or creativity. I am siding with England here and I think their style of play will cause Egypt a few problems. Egypt need a win and one with a lot of goals so they will be taking a few too many chances, this  will leave them open to attacks. England are more direct than most and this is where Egypt are up against it. Egypt are a decent passing side but they will not be able to contain this England side who do look dangerous from all dead balls. England at 1.80 (BET365)looks a very good bet.
