MEXICO U20- PARAGUAY u20: PREDICTIONS

The Fifa U20 World Cup continues with the 2^nd round of games in Group D. Mexico u20 opened up with a 2-1 defeat to Greece. While Paraguay were largely disappointing but still managed a draw against Mali.

Mexico u20 dominated an inferior Greece side for the entire match but left the field with nothing after an astonishing smash and grab performance. Mexico played a very strong game but could make few inroads against a disciplined Greek side. 18 year old midfielder Jorge Espericueta was the star man for Mexico, orchestrating the play with such ease for a youngster. He scored a fine free kick but Mexico really need to more clinical in front of goal, despite of 20 shots on goal they had only the long range goal to show for all the dominance. Mexico are not out of the tournament yet though as even 3^rd placed teams can advance here.

Paraguay u20 were very much below par in their opening fixture against group outsiders Mali. Both sides netted within the 1^st 6 minutes but the game did not get going after that. Both sides found it difficult to string a sequence of passes together and neither side looked a particular threat. Paraguay were tipped by a few observers as one to watch but on this showing they are one to ignore. No one really stood out for the South American side who will need to improve to progress.
