ENGLAND – CHILE: BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS
England ended up qualifying after a strong finish to the group. Roy Hodgson has selected a younger side for this game. A spate of (usual) withdrawels has forced his hand. Kyle Walker, Steven Gerrard, Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck are all out. Englands form is good with an unbeaten run of 10 games with 6 wins and 4 draws; With 27 goals scored and 8 conceded. Chile scraped through to the World cup finals, winning a final day showdown against Ecuador to go through. Chile overcame a mid qualifying blip which saw them lose 5 games on the bounce. They had a rethink and changed a few things for the better and are now on an unbeaten streak of 9 that includes 6 wins and 3 draws. No injury problems for Chile who name a unchanged squad.
This is a young England side but I feel that cheered on by a full house and with a side packed with players busting a gut to impress Hodgson its actually to Englands advantage; rather than picking the same eleven who may not play with the same intensity in this friendly. Chile are packed with quality players but away from South America will be less of a threat.
