Joachim Loew has a wonderful generation of German players at his disposal. This German side is far away from the German machine football of the past. Quick, dynamic and mobile football is what it’s all about these days. Here Germany comes up a decent South American side in Paraguay. Read on to get my predictions and betting tips!

German Squad

Draxler got an injury in the Bundesliga game this weekend. No replacement has been named. In my opinion this is an extremely strong squad selection by Joachim Loew. It looks like he is starting to drill his first eleven for the World Championship. Bastian Schweinsteiger is perhaps the only name available I’d really thought would be in.

Germany is 7-2-1 in their last ten matches. The loser came last time around away to USA. The squad they use here is however much stronger than the squad named for that match. I don’t think there will be any issues with form here whatsoever.

Paraguayan squad

Paraguay is sending a decent squad, but it is a tad on the experimental side. Oscar Cardozo is the biggest miss, but there are at least a handful of decent players who probably deserve to be here that are left out.

Paraguay is 3-2-5 in their last ten matches, and they are winless in three. So going into this match the form isn’t all that. Add to this that since and including 2012 they are 1-1-4 away from home.

Germany’s last six home games have all gone over 2.5 goals. Four out of six has gone 4 goals or more. Paraguay has played three out of their last six away games over 2.5. I think Germany will take this game to a slightly reduced Paraguay side looking to get back on their feet. In my opinion this increases the chance of Germany scoring a few.
