ITALY V BRAZIL PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

This friendly between two of the World’s top sides gives us some top Thursday night viewing in a week that has been quiet for football so far.

Italy take on Brazil in a friendly held in Geneva, Switzerland in another of Brazil’s friendly tour before they host the 2014 World Cup.

Italy have named a strong squad with Mario Balotelli likely to take his place up front alongside clubmate Stephan El Shaaraway.  Although their will undoubtedly be a number of changes with players like Gilardino and Osvaldo likely to see time ahead of the World Cup qualifier against neighbours Malta next midweek.

Brazil have also named a strong squad here with Real Madrid’s Kaka looking to continue the an impressive run of form for his club side.  He’ll have club mate Marcelo in the team also alongside PSG defender Thiago Silva among others.  A noticeable omission to the team is Ronaldinho but the long flight to Europe from South America may not be the best for him at this point in the season. 

ITALY V BRAZIL PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

Italy will want to get a good look at their players in a competitive game since their next two games are against Malta and San Marino and should be walkovers.  I expect them to take this game seriously for the first half at least and play an almost full strength side.  Brazil too though have taken a strong team to this game and they’ll feel this is a good test of their players since they have no competitive qualifying matches as hosts of the World Cup.

I think with both teams treating this match seriously the draw is the top bet here.
