Italy have a final tune up game in Verona before they make the short jaunt over  to France for Euro 2014. They defeated Scotland last match 1-0 in the heat of Malta in a game they dominated but never really looked like troubling the scorer.  That was their 1^st win in friendlies in the last year as they lost to Germany and Belgium to go with draws to Spain and Romania.  Italy will likely rotate a few fringe members in to the team as Conte looks to make some final decisions. The Italians come into the competition as big outsiders due to their lack of “world class” players but they should not be underestimated. Finland are in a turnaround phase and will be looking at players too. They finished in 4^th of 6 teams in qualifying. Behind the likes of Romania, Hungary and Northern Ireland.  They are in a poor run at the moment having not won in 7 with 3 draws and 4 defeats.  Conceding 8 goals to Poland and Sweden in recent friendlies. Captain Niklas Moisander is still not fully fit and is left out here.

Italy will want a win to boost morale both on and off the pitch but coach Conte will take a clean sheet above all here I feel. He was happy enough with the 1-0 win over Scotland and will be after more of the same. The odds on Italy are very short at 1-5 or 1.20, I was looking at the “win to nil” market but that too is tight at around 1.55 or 11-20. Instead tale the halftime full time on Italy at the 4-5 or 1.80 at Corals.
