NORWAY – SCOTLAND: BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

Two sides who have had a dearth of success in recent years. Both used to be sure things for qualification for major finals but Norway and Scotland were caught up by new emerging nations and passed by many. Norway finished in 4^th position in their group, behind Switzerland, Iceland and Slovenia. Not a great finish for an established nation. Form is poor too with two wins, two draws and four defeats. No top level sides faced in this time either so its not looking good for the Nordic nation. Scotland have been dropping down gradually over the years and only in the latter part of this year have things looked good. Scotland were given a tough draw and finished 4^th, behind Serbia, Croatia and Belgium. Two wins against Croatia show the potential for Scotland but they are short of all round quality. Recent form has improved with 4 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats.

Both nations are pretty even in my eyes and this game will give both managers a chance to mix a few things up. Gordan Strachan for Scotland will be keen to keep the small momentum going and I think another positive result for Scotland is in the offing. Norway are trying to re-invent themselves and although capable of a decent result are also capable of throwing games away.
