REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v TURKEY 1x2 BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

Republic of Ireland were always a nation that seemed to overachieve and in recent years they seem to have been caught short. They qualified for Euro 2012 but left without a single point to their name and looked very ordinary indeed. In WC 2014 qualifying they finished 4^th in the group behind Germany, Sweden and Austria. The side selected for this International in Dublin is mainly made up of England Premiership and Championship players. There is little craft or creation here and that is there main probem.  Results since 2013 are 5 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses. However the only win of note was against Poland. Any matches versus top teams tends to result in a draw or loss.  Turkey are a perennial under achiever and again failed to qualify for a major tournament.  The Turkey squad is packed with stars and should really be doing better. You feel that the huge rivalries between club sides carries over to the national team and they are guilty of infighting rather than  pulling together. Something the likes of Spain did in the 90’s and always hindered their progression. Captain Arda Turan will not travel to Kosovo due to playing commitments. Turkey finished a poor qualifying section miles behind Holland. Recent results have picked up though. With 8 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses they are showing improvement, with four wins from four recently and 11 goals scored.

Huge price here on Turkey to overcome the Irish. I always feel Ireland are overpriced, they are certainly overrated here. FIFA rankings (which  should never be overly relied up but are a fair guide) place Ireland in 66 and Turkey in 39 in the world. For me that is near enough, I take Turkey here at a massive 2.80 (9/5)
