SPAIN -CHILE: PREDICTIONS

Spain take a break from World Cup Qualifying to face up to a change of styles.  In a game to be played at the Nuetral venue of Geneva we expect a few different faces to line up.  Spain have been very busy in 2013 with 12 games played. With 9 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat it looks another stellar year for the Iberians. However a few glimmer of weaknesses as they were hammered 3-0 in the Confederations cup final in Brazil and left empty handed. In the 12 games this year they have scored 28 times and conceded 7 with 7 clean sheets.  Things seem to be going through a slight change for the World Champions.   Seven of the players now ply their trade in England which seems amazing as the Spanish League seems to be losing its better Spanish players. Fernando Torres misses out while a few players selected are not even starting at club level. Negredo has had a great impact on Man City with goals in his first few starts while Javi Garcia is filling at defence. Out for Spain here is attacker David Silva, the City man is pure quality but small attacking playmakers are one thing Spain do not lack.

Chile have recovered after their poor run of form in late 2012. They opened the qualifiers well with a good run of results but then seemed to fall apart somewhat. Over the last year or so they have regained their form recently with an unbeaten run of six games (5 wins and 1 draw) with 18 goals scored and just 4 conceded. Chile sit in 3rd position with 8 wins and 6 defeats. Key for Chile are Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas who have managed 8 goals between them this year.

SPAIN - CHILE: BETTING TIPS     

Switzerland fans should be in for a treat here in what should be a cracking football match. Both sides will look to pass the ball around and ball possession will be the order of the day. Spain though will have too much for Chile who will be suffering a little due to the huge travelling from Chile to Europe and will have to deal with that then chasing after Spain for most of the game.  I take Spain -1 on AH at 1.60 with Bet365.
