England travel to Spain to play what would normally be a cracker but under friendly terms at this time of the year its hardly worth the effort. With “El Classico” on the horizon all the Madrid and Barcelona players will have eyes on that one. Wayne Rooney has already been stood down and we have the usual withdrawals.  England qualified with ease with 10 wins from 10 to make Euro 2016. They didn’t have the hardest of groups in honesty with only Switzerland of any note. Still impressive enough as not many sides do that. Spain won 9 and lost the other in a group with Ukraine and Slovakia.  David Silva and Isco will not feature for Spain while Premier sensation Jamie Vardy is carrying a niggle and will not be risked. England are in great form, It has been 15 games and 17 months since England last tasted defeat. Spain have won the last 6 games with them not conceding in the last 5.

I would side with Spain for sure if this was a competitive match. However with Real Madrid v Barcelona on the horizon I don’t think they will be at full throttle. England are hard to beat at present but without Rooney lose their edge up top. A draw is the best option for this game in Alicante.
