TURKEY - CZECH REPUBLIC : PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Turkey have had a really poor time of it on the international stage and this looks like continuing after a very poor start to 2014 qualifying. With only 1 win and three defeats in their four games they are in a bit of bother already. Drawn in a tough group they were but of the sides in it you would expect a runners up position. But after defeats to Hungary, Romania and Netherlands things are looking grim. A solitary win over Estonia is all they have at this point. In friendlies last year Turkey played 8 matches. They had 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. Managing to beat Georgia, Bulgaria, Portugal and Ukraine. Four decent victories there, losing to Finland, Austria and Slovakia. The Turkish squad is packed with quality and experience but for some reason they cannot step up when it matters.

Czech Republic found themselves in a tough group and have only made an average start. With three games played last year they sit in 3rd with 1 one and 2 draws. Czech's beat Malta in a game which was not at all straight forward. They have managed two goalless draws against Denmark and Bulgaria. The Czechs played 6 friendlies and won, drew and lost 2 matches each. The Czech's also had a relatively succesfull go at Euro 2012. Getting to the last 16 was more than they would have expected. Captain and influential leader Peter Cech is missing injured and will be missed. The Czech squad is decent enough and with many new upcoming players getting their chance the national side looks on the up again.

Turkey are great value at home here at 2.20. A huge price for any game in Turkey when the home support is such a vociferous and intimidating factor. Two evenly matched sides here but with home advantage and with more at stake for the Turks with the expectancy I take a home win. The price should be a shade of odds on here too so we have a massive bit of value. Czech's are missing star man and leader Cech too which is another bonus for us.
