Turkey v Ghana predictions and betting tips
Turkey is only number 58 in the FIFA rankings and has displayed poor form as of late. If we isolate their matches played within the last year they are only 2-3-6. At home in the same interval they’re 0-3-2. Coach Avci has brought his star players to this game: Turan, Sahin and Yilmaz are all taking part.
Ghania is number 24 in the FIFA rankings and go into this International Friendly with momentum going for them. Ghana hasn’t lost in the last five matches, and they’ve looked solid. They’re showing up with a very capable squad here spearheaded by tank center and captain Gyan. That means players such as Asamoah (Juventus), Atsu (African Ronaldo, Porto) and Opare (Standard Liege) will take part. Defenders Boye and Vorsah as well as midfielder Muntari are not included!
Turkey – Ghana betting tips
Although Turkey has some decent players in the squad I am not going to present betting tips on them until they’ve proven that their negative trend has been broken. Especially when the opposition is as strong as Ghana! Turkey will struggle to qualify for Brazil 2014 with the Netherlands looking top dog in Qualification group D, and Hungary and Romania ahead of them at this point in time. Ghana leads their group, and looks set to get there in my opinion.
Turkey is 9/10 (1.90) favorite for this game. I just can’t see why the odds should be so low. Ghana is priced 3.75 (11/4) on the 1X2, and the draw no bet option is 2.75 (7/4). Out of these two options I very much prefer the Draw No Bet. The added cushion of getting my money back if it ends a draw more than weigh up for the lower odds! This looks a decent value bet to me!
