Uruguay v France predictions
This international friendly is Uruguay's run up to an away World Cup Qualifier as well as the upcoming Confederations Cup. All their stars are included in the squad. Suarez, Cavani, Forlan, Gagano, Lugano and Caceres are all there.
France has no competitive match until the autumn so they have taken an experimental squad with them. Players such as Nasri, Clichy and Menez are out injured. Experienced Ribery, Mexes and Evra will sit out, and so will the younger talents Remy, Varane and Pogba. Benzema is a doubt for this game, but could be fielded in France's next stop on the South American tour against mighty Brazil.
Even if there are some big names missing, don't think the French team will be a weak one. Defensively France looks very strong with the likes of Lloris in goal, Rami, Mathiueu, Sakho, Koscielny are all top notch central defenders. The fullbacks are good too. In midfield they're perhaps a wee bit weaker, but the super talented Grenier has been called up. Regulars; Cabaye of Newcastle and Matuidi of PSG are included in the squad. Up front Baby Drogba, Gomis, Valbuena, Payet, Giroud looks pretty good!

Uruguay has more to play for this month, and this game against France is a very tough test. However, Uruguay has much to play for AFTER this game. With a World Cup Qualifier coming up and the Confederations Cup just around the corner I doubt they'll be 100% focused throughout this game. They of course got some stars that win this match with moments of brilliance, but the odds available for the home win do absolutely not interest me.
France is one of those sides that do take friendlies seriously. Actually they've won five away friendlies in a row. That against world class opposition like Italy, England and Germany even. I do not see why they shouldn't be able to continue a good run against an Uruguay side that for sure must be looking ahead to more important games.
