USA - GERMANY PREDICTIONS

USA  take on Germany and it’s a chance for all time German legend Jurgen Klinsmann to face up to his motherland for the 1^st time.

USA go into the game on the back of a hammering by up and coming Belgium. The rising starts of the Benelux tore apart a hapless US team trying a few new ideas. A fledgling central defensive partnership of Goodison and Gonzalez was very suspect, with the players in different zip codes several times. Belgium ran riot and there must be massive worries of a NFL score here, even for a “2^nd string Germany” USA will not want to overcommit themselves as they do have three massive World Cup qualifiers coming up in the next fortnight so expect a few fringe players to start and most of the 1^st eleven will not be going 100% into challenges for sure. US have been very busy and since the start of 2012 have managed 10 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats. The Concacaf region is not the most challenging to be honest and only wins of note were away in Mexico and away in Italy.  Expect to see the likes of Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey start here with Hector Gomez up top with most likely Jozy Altidore.

Germany go into the game on a high after destroying Ecuador in Miami in a devastating opening 20 minute blitz. The Germans were 4 goals up before Ecuador even knew what hit them and the bewildered South Americans took a while to actually get their bearings. Germany did ease of after the opening half hour and sloppily allowed Ecuador back into the game with two easy goals. The main point to make here is this is a “weakened” Germany side with most of the squad rested or taking part in German cup final. With the likes of Julian Draxler, Lars Bender, Roman Neustädter, and Sidney Sam available and Kruse, Klose and Podolski all vying for the striking berth this is a superb side still.  The team played with all the usual fluidity of the 1^st team and even though the faces where different the goals flowed and the football at times was artistic.

 USA - GERMANY: BETTING TIPS

I think Germany can rack up another win on US soil and would be surprised if the US was able to get anything here. With the all important regional qualifiers coming up for the US I wouldn’t expect the players picked to be trying to kill themselves here. Germany will go about their game as usual with probing passing game where they try and work angles all over the pitch. The price looks very tasty for me and Germany at 1.80 (Bet365) is worth getting on. A decent Belgium side made the US look ordinary for long parts of the latest friendly.  A Germany side with equal quality should have similar results.
