Now back to business. Even if this is an opener, and all the pressure in the world is on Brazil to deliver a win I think they'll emerge victorious. First and foremost, they did exceptionally well in the 2013 Confederations Cup. A cup also played in Brazil in front of the same hysterical fans. They know what is waiting! 

Brazil have a great combination of lethal finishing, pace, power and ability up front. In Neymar, Fred, Hulk and Oscar they got players who can hurt any opposition. At the back they got players with great speed, and extreme one on one qualities. They will be so tough to beat.

In the recent friendly they played to Serbia (which will be a perfect warm up match) they squandered chances and looked a bit rusty at the back. Do not fear! This was a friendly, the last one before the World Cup. Do you really think they dared fly into 50-50 challenges? Nopes, did not think you did. Furthermore, the player turnover during those 90 minutes of football was very high. It was about getting a good training session. Nothing more, nothing less.

Croatia miss Mandzukic up front. The Bayern Munich striker is a big miss obviously. I do not rate the back up players anywhere near his class. Also, it is quite likely Croatia will play both Ivan Raktic and Luka Modric more defensively than normal in this game. The Croats will be looking not to concede above all else. Against a free flowing Brazil I find it hard to believe they will be successful, and when Brazil gets going, the goals will fly.

My bet is Brazil -1.5 with BET365. I think it is a great price worth hammering.
