My thinking for the Alexis Sanchez to score any time against Spain is as follows:

1. Alexis Sanchez is in very good form. He scored 21 goals for Barcelona  this season in competitive matches. He scored four in the World cup qualification for Chile and he has already scored this world cup against Australia. If you sum up his goals in competitive matches for Barcelona 2013/2014 as well as the qualification matches and the one world cup match he already has played you get 67 matches played (not considering if he started or came on as a sub). He got 26 goals in this interval. This indicates an odds of about 2.58.

2. Sancez knows the Spanish defenders. In particular Alba, Busquets and Pique! With his creativity and flair he could be able to get himself into scoring positions against a Spanish defense that has many questionmarks hanging in the air. In his current form he will convert if he gets a couple of chances surely.

3. This looks like a game set to be fireworks. I call a wide open, fun to watch game. Spain needs the win. Probably they need to win with quite a few goals. At some point they will have to risk a bit, and Sanchez wiith his pace and trickery is the kind of player who will capitalize on this. When the counter attacks are launched he will be there.
