Australia v Jordan preview and betting tips

Australia are 1-4-1, and at the minute they only hold the qualification spot in the Asian World Cup Qualification Group B. A win here will put them in the driving seat for second, behind run away leader Japan whom they drew 1-1 away last match day. Here Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak will be back. This tough tackler played an essential part in the very succesful campaign of Palace this season.

Jordan are currently fourth and can still qualify as well. If they get a win here it will be them in the driving seat behind Japan actually. However with 0-0-3 away and a goal difference of 1-9 it seems a bit far fetched. They come to this match with players mainly based in the Jordanian league, but also a few players plying their trade in Saudi Arabia. 

Australia might not be what they were some years back, but a home win looks very likely. Jordan might not be a side that wins many games, but the ones they've lost have been tight more often than not. It clearly is a side capable of defending. Australia hasn't impressed much with wins either, so the 1x2 odds on Australia of about 1/3 (1.33) is garbage. The wider handicaps on the Asian market also seems very risky. Why should Australia all of a sudden pull a multi goal win out of the hat at this moment?

I rather go for the Australia -1 Asian Handicap line. The price is an acceptable 1.575 (29/50). At least we get our money back if Australia only win by one goal. These odds were found at BET365!
