Two of the bottom dwelling sides meet in La Paz as Bolivia host Venezuela.  Each have two losses from two so far with Bolivia losing at home to Uruguay and then away to Ecuador (both 2-0 scorelines) Bolivia are missing key men Moreno and Raldes, neither will play under current coach Baldivieso.  Attackers Campos and Alvez both miss out too here. Bolivia have not won in 5 games (all lost) with just 1 goal scored and 19 conceded!  Venezuela are in poor form too with no wins in 6 games (1 draw and 5 losses) they have only scored 3 but conceded 11 in their run. In the qualifiers so far they have lost 3-1 at Brazil and 1-0 at home to Paraguay.  Two key men in Amorebieta and Guerra are injured while hot prospect Arteaga was not released from his club which will surely face sanctions.

The altitude of La Paz is about the only thing in Bolivia’s favour at the moment. Venezuela are a side that usually struggles against the high altitude sides. They will attempt to alleviate the problems by arriving in the capital a mere 90 minutes before kick-off.  Something a lot of teams do but most generally fail. Neither side is in good form and neither is scoring many. I think this will be very tight 1^st half with Venezuela succumbing to the altitude problems for the 2^nd half and weakening badly.
