 COLOMBIA V ECUADOR : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Colombia are ranked 3 by FIFA, and while this is almost certainly flattering they are a very good side who sit second in the South American qualifying group on 23 points. Three points behind leaders Argentina but with a game in hand. With four games to play they look virtually assured of a place in next years finals. Falcao is the biggest name, and he is doubtful for this match with an ankle injury. Portos Javier Martinez is an able deputy should he be needed. Colombia are really strong at home as a 411 record in the group shows, and in head to heads against Ecuador on home soil they have won six of the nine times losing just once.

Ecuador sit just two points off Colombia in the standings in third spot and also look good to qualify. The big problem they have is woeful away form. They have taken just two points in five games on the road in qualifying. Top scorer Caicedo misses out through suspension, and the team are still reeling from the tragic death of striker Christian Benitez in July this year. Experienced midfield pair Antonio Valencia and Edison Mendez will need to be on top of their game if Ecuador are to get anything from this match.
