DENMARK - ARMENIA :PREDICTIONS

Denmark had a free week and benefited from a draw between Czech Republic and Italy. Group B is hotting up now and the Danes need a victory here against the nearly eliminated  Armenians.

Denmark are on a mixed run of results. Since the Euro 2012 were they were drawn in a group of death and left at the group stage they have played 11 times.Looking into their run they have 3 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats. However the quality of opposition faced here is high. Indeed only Macedonia and Canada would be a lower rated side. The Danes as a side are always more than the sum of their parts. No real standout world class players but plenty of attacking talent and a great team ethic. Christian Eriksen is the standout man with the Ajax. The side is pretty raw at the moment with a lot of new faces but we can expect them to perform as Danish sides have done over the years. Denmark are  4^th with 1 win, 3 draw and 1 defeats. Armenia were hit by a disastrous home defeat to lowly Malta. In a game that looked a formality they did hammer the plucky Mediterranean’s. However despite racking up corners and a huge percentage of the play they could not breach the back 9 of Malta.. Since New Year 2012 Armenia have 4 wins, 1 draw and 7 defeats. With 14 goals scored and 18 conceded they are starting to compete in games against the big boys. Armenia have some decent young players now too and in midfield they have a very creative centre. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a very exciting attacking midfielder and is attracting the eyes of several top level clubs across Europe. At Shaktar Donestk now he is pulling the strings for them and the national side. Naturalised Brazilian Marcos Pizzelli has spent his entire career in Eastern Europe and looks quality for Armenia too. Upfront the Armenians have several options with three decent strikers, all with decent strike rates. In Group B Armenia have struggled results wise. Sitting in 5^th with a game in hand with 1 win, 0 draw and 4 defeats.

DENMARK - ARMENIA: BETTING TIPS

Denmark really need a win here to kick start their qualifying campaign. With two fixtures against Malta to come its not too bad for the Scandinavians. This group is very tight with Italy slightly above the next three who are all around the same level. With a lot of draws already no-one can afford to slip up against Malta or Armenia. The Armenians really let themselves down with a defeat at the weekend and they should not be able to trouble the Danes here. Denmark -1.5 is the selection at 1.98.
