MACEDONIA - SCOTLAND: PREDICTIONS

Macedonia seem equally as capable of beating a big side as much as losing to the lesser teams. Renewed optimism for Macedonia after back to back wins. Two home wins against Bulgaria and Wales gives them a bit more confidence and will give them a few important ranking points for the Euro Championship draw.  Macedonia are only 1 point behind Serbia with a game in hand and 3^rd is achievable Just 13 goals scored and conceded in 7 games shows how tight their games are for an average of 1.85 goals per game. Goran Pandev is the main man but was injured against Wales early on. He will be missed if out again.

Scotland have regained a little confidence after two strong performances against Croatia and England. Last match they battled gamely against a superior Belgium side but were unable to make to many inroads and lost 1-0. Scotland’s overall form since New Year 2012 is not too bad with 4 wins, 3 draws and 7 defeats. The lack of quality available to Gordon Strachan is evident in the striking department. Only Naismith plays in Premier league and he hardly gets game time as Evertons 3^rd or 4^th choice. The rest are made up of Championship players and even a League One striker. I think Strachan will try and build from the back and get the side back on an even keel. This qualifying has gone now but they do need to try and finish as high as possible to avoid falling into the lower pots for future draws. In this qualifying section Scotland’s results have been awful and sit bottom with 1 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats. 

MACEDONIA - SCOTLAND: BETTING TIPS      

Gordon Strachan will improve this Scotland side for sure and the signs are there for Tartan Army. Macedonia are a limited side but are very organised and are a competitive side. I think the move on the home side is to be opposed. I take Scotland +0.5 at 1.67 with bet365. Goals look scarce here too and I prefer Under 2.5 goals at 1.57 with bet365 also.
