MALTA – CZECH REPUBLIC: PREDICTIONS

Malta continues to battle on gamely but still sit rock bottom of the group.  Improved performances though from the Mediterranean islanders who have only lost narrowly in the last few games. They sit bottom of the group with 1 win and 7 defeats.  The only side to really hammer Malta was Bulgaria but that was in sub zero temperatures in Sofia.  Apart from that game Malta have battled on gamely. Beating a decent Armenia side in Yereven, while only conceding 12 in 7 defeats.  A full squad for Malta with the exception of midfielder Andre Schembri who is injured.

Czech Republic have been largely underwhelming in this qualifying section. Nothing less than two wins now is good enough for them to even have an outside chance of 2^nd position. Czechs sit in 4^th position with 2 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. Just 8 goals scored in 8 qualifiers is simply not good enough and has been their major weakness. Czechs are in bad form too with no wins in the last four.
