Norway are in 4th place with eight points, two points behind 2nd place Albania and six points behind leader Switzerland. The last two qualifying matches were away to Albania in June, they tied it 1-1, and before that they played at home to Albania in March and lost 1-0. Last friendly match was in August and they lost 4-2 away to Sweden. It was a poor performance by Norway, especially defensively, and Ibrahimovic scored three goals.

Cyprus are dead last in the group with only four points, six points behind the second place. Their last match was the qualifier away to Switzerland in June and they lost 1-0. The last six matches show no wins, one tie, and five losses (goal diff 3-12). If you look at their away matches you have to go back to 2007 to find a win, then against San Marino.
