SCOTLAND V WALES PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Two sides that have been very disappointing in qualifying so far look to get their campaigns back on track with a win here in this very important match.

Scotland have been very poor in qualifying so far with just 2 points from their 4 matches, drawing with Macedonia and Serbia before losing to Wales and Belgium.  This cost manager Craig Levein his job and he has since been replaced by Gordon Strachan who is taking charge of his first competitive Scotland game here.  His one friendly match so far was a 1-0 win over Estonia thanks to a Charlie Mulgrew goal, not exactly a prolific start but he’ll take the same score in this game.

Wales are just 1 point better off than Scotland with 1 win and 3 defeats in their qualifying matches so far.  They beat Scotland in Cardiff thanks to two late Gareth Bale goals in a game where they were outplayed for most of the match and have lost to Croatia, Serbia and Belgium in their other matches.  They have a number of players missing for this match with Matthews, Allen, Vaughan and Morison all pulled out and Gareth Bale is questionable with an ankle injury.
