Both sides are very disappointed by how their qualifying campaigns have went and neither really have anything to play for bar pride going forward.
Serbia lost away at Croatia which leves them 4th in the table on 4 points form 5 matches, a full 9 points away from the top 2 teams. They felt they were good enough to qualify even with a very tough group but the performances on the park have not been good enough for players of their quality.
Scotland are bottom of the group after another defeat, this time at home to Wales. They had taken the lead in the first half but two late goals again sunk them and left new manager Gordon Strachan with defeat in his first competitive game. Scotland have no hope of qualifying now and will just treat the rest of the matches as a chance of setting the team up for 2016 qualifiers.
